What is general waste?

General waste, as a rule is described under the European waste code as mixed compactable waste such as your average domestic black bag. It should not contain anything hazardous such as liquids or chemicals and should be collected and stored in the appropriate container. The vast majority of general waste CAN be recycled.

The large majority of general waste that is collected from households and business ordinarly go direct to Landfill. Depending on your geographical location however we can offer alternatives to this disposal route for example energy from waste.
